the 2014 Fashion Fundraiser was attended by over 200 people and generated over $10,000 for our partner charities
MSWIT’s primary objectives are to provide opportunities for women in the travel and tourism industries to network locally, nationally, and internationally with contacts that will contribute to their professional and personal growth, and to encourage and assist women to improve their knowledge and experience through educational programs.
Our partner charities:
CAGNO, a non-profit United Way community impact partner, prides itself in protecting and defending the community against cancer through education, outreach, research and assistance of needy cancer patients. CAGNO’s patient services program provides vital prescription medications and necessities to cancer patients who otherwise would have to do without.
New Orleans Family Justice Center is a partnership of agencies dedicated to ending family violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and stalking through prevention and coordinated response by providing comprehensive client-centered, empowerment services in a single location.

Viva La Cure- A Night of Hope
Dear Friends of CAGNO,
The Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans (CAGNO) is pleased to announce the 6th Annual “Viva La Cure – A Night of Hope” fundraiser on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at The Jung Hotel New Orleans.
Viva La Cure has become a premier social event in New Orleans with patrons attending from the local medical community, as well as supporters from across the state.
Since 1959, CAGNO has been a leader in providing direct financial support to cancer patients in Southeast Louisiana.
In 2018, donors like you made it possible for CAGNO to provide 783 patients and their families with ongoing support during cancer treatment. Together we have:
- Provided 545 patients with household living assistance
- Helped 432 patients with co-pays and medical supplies
- Distributed 800 $25 gas cards for transportation assistance to treatment
- Filled over 1,500 patient’s prescriptions
- Educated over 1,500 community members on cancer prevention
We encourage you to support CAGNO by becoming a sponsor or donating a signature item for the silent auction. Your donation is the best way to ensure continuous cancer care treatment for family members, friends and neighbors, in our community, faced with a cancer diagnosis.
